This is currently running in a reduced format due to Covid-19. Below is an outline of what our work in schools normally looks like.
The Primary School's Team visits each of the Primary Schools in the town once every short term, 6 times a year to lead assemblies. These connect the school's values and British values with our key Christian beliefs. This offers support to the schools in delivering their Religious Education curriculum. We often play a game, followed by a story from the Bible with an illustration point and a prayer, linking to the key value.
After School Club - Mission Possible
The team also visits each school for a six week block twice a year to deliver our Mission Possible after school club. This is a condensed version of what they experience at Holiday Club. We focus on a theme for the 6 weeks and explore this through games, illustration points, stories from the Bible and take home crafts. Our clubs are really popular and we enjoy getting to know many children better who come along to our holiday club.
Our Secondary Schools Team currently run a Lunch Club at Buckingham Secondary School on a Monday lunchtime in term time. This is a chance for young people to come and hang out together, eat lunch and play games. We also enjoy getting to know the young people in our town more and lend a listening ear if needed.
